100 Years of Art Deco: Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs, Parisian Ode to a Flamboyant Era
Categories : Hôtel, published on : 9/3/25
Art Deco is celebrating its centenary. Born in the 1920s, in the aftermath of the First World War, this artistic and architectural movement left its mark on the world with its geometric elegance, refinement, and love of noble materials. A symbol of modernity and freedom, Art Deco shaped a way of life that blended comfort, sophistication, and boldness.
In Paris, the Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs carries on this legacy, celebrating the spirit of the era with a distinctly contemporary approach. Conceived by Fabrizio Casiraghi, a designer renowned for his ability to reinterpret historical styles with subtlety, the hotel offers a true immersion into the elegance of the Roaring Twenties.
A Tribute to Travel and the Elegance of the 1920s
From the moment they arrive, guests are transported into a world where clean lines and generous curves harmonize with deep colors and textured materials. Brass, precious woods, velvets, and marble recall the grand salons of the time, when Art Deco graced the interiors of luxurious transatlantic liners.
Fabrizio Casiraghi: A Contemporary Signature
The interior architect chose to infuse the Parisian hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés with a hushed, timeless atmosphere, while preserving the functionality and comfort today’s travelers seek. His aesthetic choices demonstrate a profound respect for Art Deco, while anchoring it in the present through minimalist touches and a refined play of light.
Every detail—every graphic motif, every piece of furniture—tells a story, reminding us that Art Deco was not merely a style, but a way of life, a celebration of beauty in everyday moments.

Bringing together more than a thousand pieces—furniture, objets d’art, textiles, jewelry, and posters—the exhibition pays tribute to the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and offers an immersive journey into the flamboyant aesthetics of the Jazz Age.
